Armageddon scheduled at Dec 08 2026 19:00 UTC
Changes from previous set
Guildwar has been updated to version 2026.3. The full list of changes can be found below.
New Features:
- New battle report with an interactive breakdown of the battle: a combat card header, army and hero sections, and a matchup chart.
- Original and Detailed buttons at the top of a battle report switch between the two views.
- Battle reports open in Original unless you last picked Detailed in that browser.
- You can now choose between the Classic and Modern themes in Options.
- Classic stays the default, and Modern is a refreshed look with the same layout.
- On the Modern theme, you can rearrange the main menu by dragging its sections and links.
- Options has a button to reset the main menu layout.
- On the Modern theme, your active enchantments show as icons on the main menu, optionally in their spell color, and clicking one takes you to Dispel.
- On the Modern theme, the spell tracker is redesigned to show which enemies are missing each tracked spell, as a table on desktop and as cards on phones.
- The spell tracker has a new section listing your guildmates who currently have enemy spells on them.
- The spell tracker's two lists now sit under collapsible headers, like the spell book.
- The up and down arrows on number boxes for turns, buildings and amounts are back in the game's own style, appear inside the box when you hover over it or click into it, and raise or lower the number when clicked or held.
- The War page has a new panel showing your guildmates' counters.
- Guild counters on the War page are now grouped by enemy guild, with filters.
- Counter acres are now shown only for the side that holds the counter.
- The guild enemy list now shows members of guilds you are at war with.
- The guild enemy list now includes the ranking target panel.
- The Max/Turn, To Build and To Destroy figures on the build and destroy pages now fill in the amount when clicked.
- After casting a spell, your target stays selected for the next cast.
- Maintain % on the Recruit page now keeps your army at a share of your army power instead of a share of your unit count.
- Mail, guild pages, the arena, the post office and Renuntio scrolls now share one parchment style.
- The greyed-out "quest for glory" text on the main menu is now a link to the Altar of Darkness.
- The main menu now shows the time between turns rounded.
- Relation icons on Look up a Mage, the rankings and the War page are sharper.
- Spell tooltips for off-color and opposite-color spells now show what the game actually applies.
- Tooltips no longer halve effects that the game applies in full.
- Spell tooltips now say when a spell has no effect for your color.
- The Call Hurricane tooltip now shows the -1 initiative it always gave, instead of -0.5.
- "Any Unknown Spell" preorders now bid on every spell, and no longer skip most Eradication, Nether, Phantasm and Plain spells; existing ones are repaired automatically.
- The preorder page no longer offers unit preorders, which are not available on Guildwar, so you can no longer place orders that could never be filled.
- The Classic spell tracker no longer drops spells listed under Other after a scry.
- The Classic spell tracker's rows no longer reshuffle every time the page loads.
- The Classic spell tracker no longer shows raw code comments on the page.
- Sharing the spell tracker now checks that you are allowed to share it.
- Fixed the War page showing "&" instead of the status for pillaged targets.
- Mage numbers now stay visible next to long guildmate names in the counter panel.
- The War page's Expires column now sorts by time remaining, instead of reading durations such as "1h 52m" as 1.
- The battle link in the advisor's letter you receive when one of your heroes dies now opens the battle report.
- Wish now reports the number of items it actually grants.
- Fixed Wish showing the wrong skill progress for off-color skills.
- Unique items are highlighted in the antique store again.
- Losing a god's favor no longer sometimes shows the message twice.
- The result banner after an action, such as casting a spell or building, now appears only on the page you land on and no longer pops up later on an unrelated page.
