* SOLVED * Registration problems with Hotmail, Yahoo, MS

Post by Azroen » Feb 13th 2009 21:11

Greetings!

It has come to our attention that there is an issue with registering new forum/portal accounts with a hotmail e-mail address. It seems that hotmail users are not receiving their confirmation e-mail that will allow their account to be activated.

We are looking into the problem. In the mean time hotmail users should use a different e-mail service to register their accounts, or post in the General Discussion area seeking assistance.

Thank you,

Hotmail, Yahoo, and MSN e-mail addresses are no longer supported for new registrations. Unfortunately these services are run or managed by Microsoft, and they have instituted policies that blacklist domains that run forums. As we have been blacklisted users of these services will not be able to receive their activation e-mails, and thus be unable to activate their accounts.

We are sorry that this has occurred, but barring a change from Microsoft there is nothing that we can do. Users of these services will need to register an e-mail from a site that is not owned or managed by Microsoft. We recommend gmail which is a free e-mail service.

Thank you for your understanding, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
